Our mission is to provide teenage cancer survivors with outdoor adventures that renew, heal, and re-energize students for whatever life experiences lay ahead.

Teenage years can be fraught with a host of challenges. Cancer and treatment can add additional layers of distress that sometimes leave patients more susceptible to anxiety, depression and other mental health issues.

Nature, exercise, and social interaction are all shown to improve one’s ability to deal with life’s twists and turns. Wild Horizons hopes to be this for teenage cancer survivors.

We want students to get out in the wild, challenge their minds and bodies and forget about cancer for a while.

Trips are fully funded by Wild Horizons in partnership with Wilderness Adventures (WA). WA plans, organizes, and manages all aspects of the trips. They have been leading outdoor adventures for 10-22 years old for over 50 years. They are known for providing memorable outdoor experiences where kids are challenged in supportive and fun environments and walk away with a lifetime of memories and love for nature.
